Season Highlights: “Alex Campanella won the sectionals for the third time making him only the third boy to ever do that ever. He went on to finish third at states. David Powers was 9th in sectionals and qualified for states where he finished 72nd.
Top Performers: David Powers and Alex Campanella.
Coach’s Comment: “Alex has accomplished so many things in his career and he still has the indoor and outdoor seasons left. He will be missed next year.”

FOOTBALL
Coach: Pat Kean
Record: 4-6; 2-1 (league)
Season Highlights: “Making it back to the sectional final game vs. Chester. It was three years since Eldred made it to sectionals which is something we were accustomed to. So this was definitely something that highlighted our season.”
Top Performers: QB/LB Anthony Margarum, TE/DE R.J. Thiele, OL/DL Jesse Corcoran, OL/DL Rob Weber, C/DE Mike Clarkin, WR/S Nik Dilles, TE/LB Nick Stymacks, RB/LB Julian Gottlieb, CB/RB Taylor Warren, LB/RB Nick Warren, and CB/RB Nick Banghart.
Coach’s Comment: “I was happy with the improvement we made from last season to this season, making it back to sectionals. We had a good balance of talent from our freshman and sophomores to our juniors and seniors. Our seniors will be greatly missed both on and off the field.”
GIRLS’ CROSS COUNTRY
Coach: Frank Schorling
Record: 7-4; 1-0 league
Season Highlights: Finished second in the section. 7th grader Kayla Maas was 5th at sectionals and qualified for states in her first season where she placed 68th.
Top Performers: Kayla Maas, Erika Poston and Selena Hudak.
Coach’s Comment: “By the time she graduates, Selena will have 17 seasons at Eldred missing only one season when she attended Minisink Valley. Selena and our third senior Erika Poston will be hard to replace next year.”
GIRLS’ SOCCER
Coach: Teresa Colvin
Record: 7-10-1; 4-2 (league)
Season Highlights: Recording seven shutouts, scoring 30 goals in league play, while only allowing four; sectional win against Webutuck.
Top Performers: Jenna Burns freshman goalie “who exceeded everyone’s expectations. As a first year varsity player, Jenna stepped into the role and was outstanding.” She averaged 11 saves per game and is a “major reason we made it as far as we did this season. I’m excited to have her the next three years.”
Kayla Kelly senior co-captain was the team’s leading scorer.
Abigail Ellert senior co-captain. Sweeper “did everything she could to make sure Jenna was comfortable in goal.”
Coach’s Comment: “It was a great season. One I am glad I got to be a part of. We had good senior leadership and a great group of underclassman.”
