at West Point

WEST POINT — January 29 — Sullivan County schools put in a big day at The West Point Relays Saturday, winning six individual and one team event.
The individual winners were: Aric Boyes (Tri-Valley), shotput; Mitch Paciga (Sullivan West), high jump; Mareena DiMilia (Tri-Valley), shotput and long jump); Laura Doherty (Monticello), high jump and Shannon Smith (Tri-Valley), weight throw. The Tri-Valley girls team of Dimilia, Vicky Tingley and Ali Reynolds won the shuttle hurdles.
Other top three individual finishers were: Sarah Coney (Tri-Valley), second in the girls’ shot put and weight throw; Alex Brooks (Tri-Valley), second in girls’ triple jump; Kate Greffrath (Tri-Valley), second in girls’ high jump; Rosa Martinez (Sullivan West), third in girls’ high jump; Claire Tierney (Tri-Valley), third in girls’ shot put and Trevor Rainey (Monticello), third in boys’ shot put.
Other top team finishes were: Monticello boys, second in the 800-meter relay; Tri-Valley boys, second in the distance medley; Tri-Valley boys, third in shuttle hurdles; Tri-Valley boys, third in 1,600 relay; Tri-Valley girls, third in 3,200 relay and Tri-Valley girls, third in sprint medley.
