GIRLS’ SOFTBALL
Coach: Kevin Clifford
Record: 8-9, 3-1 Division
Season Highlights: Division Champions fifth year straight; section champions fourth year straight; regional finalist.
Coach’s Comments: “We had a pretty good season playing most of the regular season against very tough class C opponents. We lost to the state finalist Afton from Section 4.”
Looking Ahead: “We lose a good core of seniors led by Samantha Scott, but we return a solid group of freshmen and sophomores. Other seniors lost to graduation include Jordan Miller, Meagan Edwards, Jami Sedlacek, Imani Miranda.”
GIRLS’ TRACK AND FIELD
Coach: Jennifer Gorr
Season Highlights: “We had two girls go to the state qualifier: Ami Calo, 11th grader, for the triple jump and 100m; Annaliese Gorr, 9th grader, for 200m and 400m. These two ladies are the ones to watch next year.
“Ami broke the school triple jump record with a jump of 33 ¾ feet. Katherine Ellis (senior) had a personal best of 28 feet in the discus. We also had three eighth graders who really did great for their first year.”
Looking Ahead: “I am expecting great things for next year.”
