SULLIVAN COUNTY — July 12, 2013 — Tri-Valley and Monticello dominated Sullivan County high school track and field this past spring, posting seasonal bests in 29 of the 40 boys’ and girls’ events.
Tri-Valley, with 15 best marks, was led by Mareena DiMilia and Autumn Bender who each accounted for four No. 1 rankings. DiMilia was tops in the 100 hurdles, shot put and javelin as well as the T-V girls’ 4x100 meter relay team. Bender was the county leader in the 1500, 3000, 2000 steeplechase and ran a leg in TV’s 4x800 relay team.
Monticello recorded 14 bests with Laura Doherty leading five events: 400 hurdles, high jump, long jump, triple jump and 4x400 relay. On the boys’ side, Shane Jackson and Mistah Alli each enjoyed top rankings in three events.
