Louise Krantz
March 23, 1920 - November 24, 2013
Louise Krantz, a lifetime resident of Jeffersonville, NY, entered into eternal rest after a long illness on Sunday, November 24, 2013. She was 93.
Born on March 23, 1920, she was the daughter of the late August and Adeline Menken Hubert.
Louise was a retired financial administrator at Jeff-Youngsville Central School. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church of Jeffersonville, Sunday school teacher, Superintendent and a member of the choir. After the church closed, she became a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Narrowsburg, NY. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Jeffersonville, NY.
Survivors include her children, Paul Krantz and his wife Debbie of Clan Allen, VA, William Krantz and his wife Linda of Cochecton, NY, Karen Jay and her husband Tom, and Diane Grund and her husband Ed, both of Cochecton Center, NY; one brother-in-law, Donald Krantz, and sister-in-law, Muriel Krantz, both of the Beechwoods; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, Clifford L. Krantz and by her brother, Kenneth Hubert.
The family would like to thank Gerda and Amanda Wolfe and Debbie Emeigh, formerly of Wolfe’s Family Home, “for taking such loving care of our mom for over five years.”
Friends may call Tuesday, November 26, 2013 from 6-8 p.m. at Stewart-Murphy Funeral Home, 5068 Route 52, Jeffersonville, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 27 at the funeral home, with Pastor Phyllis Haynes officiating.
Burial will be in the Jeffersonville Lutheran Cemetery, Jeffersonville, NY.

Jack L. Rader
Retired Educator, 76
Jack L. Rader of Garrison, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2013 at the Southern Ohio Hospice Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was 76.
Mr. Rader was born in McComb, Ohio on December 13, 1936 to the late Harold and Ida Shaffer Rader.
Jack was a graduate of SUNY-New Paltz where he attained his Master’s degree in education. He taught in Monticello Central Schools, then later was the assistant principal until his retirement in 1995.
Jack had a great sense of humor and loved to play golf as well as draw caricatures. He was a veteran of the United States Army, in which he so proudly served.
Jack is survived by his wife of 49 years, Sue Ann Plummer of Garrison, KY; one daughter, Jill Lynn Rader of Kingston, NY; one son, Guy Martin and his wife, Marissa Rader, of Queens.
He was predeceased by his parents; a sister, Barbara Mapes; and two brothers, Jerry Rader and Ted Rader.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be given to the Vanceburg Christian Church.
Funeral services were held Sunday, November 24, 2013 at Gaydos Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Cox Jr. officiating.
Burial will be at the family’s convenience.
